Industrial trials in Malaysia with local partners to produce oil palm timber for manufacturing of samples for high value-added products.

Previous tests have shown, that oil palm wood that was transported as logs to Germany and was processed there, has not necessarily equal properties and quality as if it was processed in Asia under local conditions.
Therefore the first industrial scale trials have been executed exclusively in Malaysia with local partners. For that purpose almost 200 6m logs have been felled, treated (for conservation), cut to boards and kiln-dried at a commercial kiln dryer (pictures).
